As some of you might know, before action figures, I spent many years of my childhood hunting vintage Britains toys with my parents. The football series always seemed out of reach. As you can imagine, when I acquired this lot last week, it put a smile on my face.

Pleasantly surprised to find this oddball Batman novelty item.

Originally this was released in the USA by Foster Grant as Halloween ‘Fosta Funglasses’ in the 1950s, and as unlicensed Batman ‘Bat Mask’ in the 1960s.
In 1966 Marx Gt Britain recolored these same specs, and slapped it on an awesome Batman backing card.
